BREEDING OBJECTIVE

New Armatree Border Leicesters aim to breed highly productive sheep that will perform in commercial flocks.
Our breeding objective is focused on:

  • Structural soundness
  • Performance records for all sheep with emphasis on :-
       Fertility
       Milking ability
Growth, without sacrificing muscle or fat
  • An even, dense wool type that carries good character
  • Presenting an even line-up of high performing sale rams every year

We have established a sound, predictable, well defined selection, breeding and monitoring process to ensure we are consistently improving the performance of our rams and thus the productivity of our client’s flocks.

To ensure our breeding objectives remain focused, we employ the services of a third party to assist in our classing days.  Mr Allan Casey NSW DPI sheep breeding specialist is an integral part of our business.

Andrew Charlton purchased these two Stud Young Rams early 2016 to go into his own breeding program.
