The Property is located just out of the village of Armatree.
New Armatree comprises 1750 Hectares of open grazing and farming country, with a mix of native and improved pastures.
The business comprises a commercial flock of merino ewes for first cross ewe production and the Border Leicester Stud in conjunction with a winter cropping enterprise.
The Border Leicester flock has been recording for Lambplan Australian Sheep Breeding Values (ASBVs) since 2006 and the stud was registered two years later in 2008.
The stud is progressive in the field of Sheep Genetics and an early adopter of innovation within the sheep industry.
New Armatree Border Leicesters is a family operated Stud.
Craig and Jenny along with daughter Peta, son Jack, and breeding advisor Ash, make up our team.
All members bring their own unique skill set to the business.
Health and management
We undertake best industry practice with regard to the health program of the Border Leicester Flock. All sheep have a complete 6 in 1 program that is at marketing and weaning and are only drenched when necessary, in accordance with regular worm egg count results.
